i've gotten one every year for at least 15 years now and have never gotten sick from it. my pediatrician said it's also good to get it after having the baby so that you don't expose little ones to a virus you can fight but maybe they can't.
I have gotten one for the past 3 years, since I was pregnant with #1. I am now pregnant with #2 and I already got one this year. . . it has never made me or my 2 year old son sick. I would definitely recommend it!
