Oh geez. Hm. Big question. Well, you need a baby monitor. And don't let Billy get a high-tech gadgety one! You don't need a TV monitor! :) Um, what else: a baby swing, a high chair, a stroller (yes those are all big ticket items but you'd be surprised what people buy!), your baby bedding if you don't have it all already, a hamper, wash cloths and towels, bottles and dishes (that's my fav thing to buy), a mobile, .... um ... there's a lot more but that's what I can think of for now.

BTW - are we EVER going to see pictures of you pregnant? I know you're not huge (yet!) and I don't care - I still want to see pictures!! I mean it. I will boycott this blog if I don't see pictures soon!!!

First of all, I agree with Kay...about the pictures! Come on already!

As for what to get, here are few tips I would have found helpful and pass along to new moms (and dads). Check the seat cover of your highchair to make sure it is machine washable. Mine isn't. I don't know what genius came up with the idea to have a dry clean only high chair cover, but someone did and it's a total PIA! Also, things may have change in the past two years, but I LOVE the fact that my swing has a plug. It can switch from wall plug to battery when needed, but you at least don't have to buy stock in batteries just to keep the swing moving. As for the baby monitors, I just saw something on tv about how people can buy these wireless device scanner things and see your baby on the video monitor. I reccommend a standard two monitor device, sound and lights only. That's all we've ever needed. And, extra car seat base for whatever travel system you get. That way you can put the car seat in either car without any hassle! Have fun with the gun!

A travel system. The kind where the car seat snaps into the stroller. They are amazing. And check out how much the actual car seat and stroller weigh before you register for one. A 10 lb carseat seems ok, till you realize that you're putting an 8 lb baby in it. Then it's heavy! A swing, a bouncy seat, a nursing pillow with removable covers, an infant bathtub, and bath accessories. Hmm...I'm sure there's lots more. Just get the gun and register for everything you see! :D

I just found this blog! Nice to see you are documenting your pregnancy and being funny all the while.

PS I like your little pregnancy time line at the bottom.

Ok, i'm a little late here, but...

instead of the bouncy seat, i would recommend a baby papapsan seat (i think it's Fisher Price that has them). they are they best. baby just snuggles in it and sleeps.

boppy pillows are nice.

a baby bathtub.

a moses basket is nice to have too.

a pack and play

maybe a co-sleeper crib to keep baby next to your bed.
