Sunday in August

More pictures from our Sunday at the park. The weather was beautiful, and nobody else was around.

I Wish Every Day was Sunday

We had an amazing day yesterday.

The weather was beautiful so we hung out at the park we're lucky to have at the end of our block.

Then we had a visit from a friend, took a nap and watched some football. I couldn't've asked for a better day.

Wheee!

BB had his first ride in a shopping cart sans car seat Saturday. He is growing up so fast. I can't stand it.

Who Taught Him That?!

Can someone tell me when BB learned how to sit by himself? I seem to have missed it. Seriously. I went to the kitchen the other night to check on dinner and when I returned to the living room, he was sitting by himself and pulling toys out of a basket. It kinda freaked me out.

What I Learned this Week: 7-Month-Olds aren't Stationary

More evidence that you have to watch babies All.The.Time.

Since when does BB crawl up steps and pull himself into a standing position?

Needless to say, there was some serious baby-proofing going on around our house this weekend.

Don't Put that in Your Mouth

Introducing a new little segment I'd like to call: Don't Put that in Your Mouth.

First entry: the vacuum cleaner.

BB tried, with a little success sadly enough, to put part of the vacuum cleaner in his mouth yesterday. Man, you gotta watch babies All.The.Time.

Happy 7-month Birthday!

This little cutie, who is sporting his Flock of Seagulls 'do here, is 7-months-old today. Where does the time go?

What I Learned Last Week

Prunes do in fact have laxative-like powers.

BB's Thisclose to Crawling

We can't officially count it as crawling, but BB's been 'Army crawling' across the floor since Monday. He 'swam' across the floor for a Coke can at his gram's, then later crossed the living room floor at home for a book. I hear it's all downhill from here.

A Modern Day Michaelangelo

BB made this fantastic sculpture at Child Care yesterday. I'm not 100% sure what it is, and he can't tell us, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

That Uncle Jason

A few weeks ago, we had lunch and played some pool with my brother Jae. Poor BB fell for the 'scented pool chalk' trick.

We Recommend ...

... a mobile with a remote control, like the Tiny Love Sweet Island Dreams Mobile.

It took us awhile to get BB to sleep in his crib. And we tried a lot of products during our efforts. One thing we noticed early on was that he'd sleep in his crib while his mobile was moving or playing music, but once it stopped, he'd wake up. This mobile, with a remote control, saved us. Instead of going into his room to wind his mobile, all we had to do was stand in the hallway and push a button. It was less disruptive and was definitely one of the reasons BB started liking his crib.

Love at First Sight

These two are meant to be together. Her mom and I are already picking out wedding cake flavors.
